Malbec, originally from France, is now mostly associated with countries like Argentina. Langhorne Creek has a long history with Malbec and the climate is exceptionally well suited.
This wine is the result of unique barrels of Malbec fruit. These barrels have been kept separate, nurtured and tasted many times! We chose to mature this wine for 14 months in barrel, predominately Hungarian oak which adds a complementary refined spice note. The maturation was on yeast lees and stirred to give the wine added structure and mid palate fullness.
This wine shows an intense perfumed aroma of violets and spice with a bramble lift, on the palate the wine is rich and fleshy with fine tannins.
Drink now or cellar 3-5 years.
With good food!
