Tamblyn

VINTAGE 2006:

The family name Tamblyn is in recognition of our ancestors who migrated to Australia from Cornwall, England. The four outstanding red grape varieties all grown in Langhorne Creek have been blended to provide us with a generous and well balanced wine showing lifted violet & ripe cherry aromas, rich mouth filling cassis fruit, complementing soft well integrated tannins and a flavorsome savory lingering finish. The cedar bouquet characteristics of quality French and American oak show through.

The concept behind the "Tamblyn" blend was developed when we decided we wanted to craft a wine that did not need cellaring to be approachable. We wanted people to be able to buy the wine off the shelf and be able to appreciate it that night or in the near future. One feature we did not want to compromise in achieving this wine style was a full flavoured, mouth filling palate weight. Hence we have blended a complex flavoured wine by utilising the characters of each of the varieties, at the same time achieving a soft well rounded approachable palate structure.

Tamblyn is soft enough to drink now or reward with cellaring 3+ years.
