TamblynVINTAGE 2004:The family name Tamblyn is in recognition of our grandmother’s ancestors who migrated to Australia from Cornwall, England. The four outstanding red grape varieties all grown in Langhorne Creek have been blended to provide us with a generous and well balanced wine showing lifted violet and spicy aromas, rich mouth filling dark fruits fruit, complementing soft well integrated tannins and a flavoursome savoury lingering finish. The concept behind the “Tamblyn” blend was developed when we decided we wanted to craft a wine that people were able to appreciate that night or cellar for a few years. We have blended a complex flavoured wine by utilising the characters of each of the varieties, at the same time achieving a soft well rounded approachable palate structure. Tamblyn was fermented in open top fermenters allowing maximum extraction of colour and flavour. The wine was matured in new, one & two year old French and American barriques (225L) for 15 months prior to blending and bottling Soft enough to drink now or reward with cellaring 3+ years. WINEMAKER Rebecca Willson FOOD MATCHES:A terrific food wine, enjoy with meat, pasta, chicken, pizza, cheese or at anytime. |
