Racy Rosé

VINTAGE 2006:

This is our sixth vintage of Rosé, produced from 100% estate grown fruit. This rosé is drier than most on the finish which gives it a serious edge, however it still expresses wonderful fruit, making it a great compliment to your favourite food.

The colour is bright, vibrant pink. The aroma shows lifted crushed, raspberry and watermelon characteristics.

As the name suggests the palate is energetic and racy with relatively full flavorsome ripe cherry characters and a balanced soft acidity giving a clean refreshing finish. This is a wine to have a lot of fun with. What more could you want!

Selected parcels of Shiraz and Cabernet had some of their juice drained off skins when we felt the colour extraction was perfect. The juice was cooled, settled and racked. A yeast was chosen that would enhance the natural berry characters and the ferment was treated just like a delicate white. The wine was then stabilised, filtered and bottled – Full of life and zest.

SERVE:

Can be enjoyed with risotto, salad, seafood or on its own.
