Matilda Plains Sauvignon Blanc- Export - (same as Bremerton Sauvignon Blanc) VINTAGE 2007:The perfect growing season of 2007 has allowed us to capture the true varietal characteristics of Sauvignon Blanc. It is a zesty wine providing lifted ripe fruit aromas balanced by a palate displaying a touch of citrus with clean acid structure and a crisp refreshing finish. This Sauvignon Blanc has been made predominantly from fruit grown on our three Langhorne Creek vineyards, which has captured the true characteristics of this variety. The wine is made for enjoyment, drink young and chilled with friends. After crushing, the free run juice was drained, then cooled, and allowed to settle. The juice was then racked off lees and inoculated with yeast for a long, cool ferment. Following fermentation, the separate fermentation parcels were tasted and blended. The wine was then filtered and bottled with no oak influence. The wine is made to drink at a young age. A perfect partner to salad, white meat, slightly spicy Asian and Mediterranean food or just to enjoy a glass on its own anytime Serve chilled. WINEMAKER Rebecca Willson |
